Small Habits to Help You Feel Positive and Happier

A lot of the time we as human beings become easily stressed, tired, angry and anxious because we forget to think about the positive aspects of every day life. Even though fully scheduled days from Monday to Friday does become something seen as 'work' but it doesn't mean that we can't enjoy our days as they go by.

In fact, it has been occurring to me that being happy is crucial in maximising productivity and energy whilst working and at school.

I have been thinking about how I can begin to feel less stressed with having higher amounts of studying, later nights and earlier mornings than during the summer holidays (where I would do pretty much anything I wished, whenever I liked) when it seemed apparent that stress and happiness are very closely linked.

So here are some habits that I have tried incorporating and maximising to keep try and keep myself fuelled with more positive and happier vibes.

In The Morning:

- Stretch out your body whilst still in bed and as you get ready to feel more energy.

- Take deep breaths and wear a smile (before your clothes or your makeup!)

- Note down gratitude upon awakening to notice what has made you feel good, happy and grateful recently and the great  things about your life overall.

- Make yourself an exciting, yet healthy breakfast to fuel your body and mind for the rest of the day as well as to have something to look forward to.

- Keep away from your phone, especially from social media because you should be feeling good about yourself and enjoying your life instead of scrolling down photos of people enjoying their own.

During The Day:

- Use every moment alone to concentrate on how good you are feeling and use that as confidence around others.

- Take deep breaths ( a little like mini mediation sessions to keep feeling positive!)

- Surround yourself with positive people and question other people's negativity to help block out negative thoughts.

- Smile! At least you would be the one who smiled rather than the one who didn't smile back.

During The Evening:

- Listen to uplifting songs

- Work out....really just do it! This is the key part of feeling greater amounts of energy during the rest of the evening, to increasing serotonin levels, happiness and feel good vibes that your body needs! (Come on who doesn't love a little dancing?)

At Night:

- Drink green tea/ peppermint tea and think positive thoughts to help you wake up even more positive the next day.

-Accept that everyday might not go as planned and that it is fine to make mistakes as there is an opportunity to make improvements tomorrow.

I hope all of you invest in some of these habits to start feeling your best and hopefully you will stick to these things in the long run.

What makes you feel good everyday? Do you have any special habits that keep you on track and on top of the stress? I would love to know!

Europe Trip 2015: Day 4 | Alpschaukäserei Cheese Factory and Swiss National Day Celebrations

Whilst we were in Switzerland, we went to visit Alpschaukäserei Cheese Factory; unfortunately we didn't manage to watch the cheese being made nor does anyone in my family particularly like eating cheese. That being said we do like taking photos of pretend cows and making friends with goats past apparently...

Since my parents travelled to Zurich before, they wanted to see this place because they had visited the area many years ago.

Later on during the day we went bowling and played mini golf before going to watch the fireworks in the city centre to mark the Swiss National Day. The evening was particularly enjoyable because I was wrapped up warm in layers of clothes and we all enjoyed the firework display from the side of Zurich lake.

Have any of you been to Switzerland on their National Day (1st August)?

Let me know how you enjoyed your stay.

Superfacialist Rose Miracle Makeover Facial Oil

,
It was one evening when I decided to change my entire skin care regime....

....and boy did I follow that idea through and change it entirely.

I was watching some videos on YouTube when I came across this video from Pixiewoo and Caroline Hirrons and picked up some really useful ideas when coming to facial care. One thing in particular which stood out to me is the idea that you only have one face for an entire lifetime unlike clothes, accessories and hair so why wouldn't you invest time, money and effort into it?

I read some articles and found this Rose Facial Oil by Una Brenna which I have now been using every evening as a pre-cleanse treatment. I usually wipe any makeup off my face with a wet wipe and then massage this oil all over my face for a good couple of minutes before using a warm wet towel to take it off. Then I wash my face with a regular cleanser and moisturise.

I've heard so many great long term benefits of regular messaging of the face and I do feel the oil does help make my face feel much fresher than with a cleanser alone.

I would recommend that you guys try this oil out, expecially if you feel that your face just needs a little more delicate care.

Let me know if you have ever tried using oils before on you're skin and how it went.

Europe Trip 2015: Day 3 | Lichtenstein and Bregenz, Austria

How cheeky am I to make her pose like that?

The whole of Lichtenstein City was scattered in beautiful and vibrant flowers which was too hard not to capture.

I'm a sucker for the scenery as you can see...

The beautifully decorated Opera House in in Bregenz in Austria where we ate really tasty Gelato ice cream...it seemed that ice cream really was the only way to cool down (and indulge into my holiday taste buds obviously!)

Whilst walking through the city we came across people playing a serious game of giant chess which was really interesting because I have never seen anything like it before.

Have you ever played giant chess? I've never really bothered learning how to play chess so I guess I'm more of a cards person then.

New Buys | Argan Oil and Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

And we encounter it again.

The disappointing time of your life when your mascara has run dry and needs replacing yet again -unless you want to be slightly lazy and use it anyway (even though it could start infecting your eyes).

We've all been there haven't we? (Even you boys....)

Every time I go back to Boots for a new tube of mascara I try something new because there are always new releases from all companies in the drugstore and usually a simple mascara does the job. This time I decided to go for Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara £7.99 and it seemed to be an especially good purchase. The wand of the mascara does magic on my eyelashes! The bristles are firm and slightly curved meaning it makes it incredibly easy, and non technical, to grip onto all my eyelashes so that they are equally covered in mascara.

Well, maybe that's just me with the whole equality thing...

Also, I have been loving OGX Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Weightless Reviving Dry Oil as a spray to use on damp hair before blow drying simply because I have been finding that the heat from the hair dryer can dry out my hair a little too much, leaving the strands at the front of my head a little frizzy. I found that by adding extra moisture to the hair strands first reduces the number fly-aways.

Have any of you ever tried washing out your old mascara wand and using it to comb your eyebrows in the morning? Trust me, its a good trick!
