Smack Lobster Rolls, Dean Street Review

By now I think you know that I am a foodie.

But I also always want o be healthy.

So, there The Weekly Cheat Meal began.

I am so glad I started to do this a while back because it means that I really savour and enjoy my meals out much more as it feels like a real treat.

My real point here is that if you are in London and want to eat out then you MUST go to Smack Lobster Rolls on Dean Street (close to Leister Square Station).

I have never tried fresh lobster before but these are the bomb. If you have never tried lobster rolls before, they are basically brioche type bread (and if you ask me looks like French Toast but doesn't taste like it) stuffed with plenty of lobster meat.

I went to dinner with my best friend and the man serving us suggested that we get 2 different rolls and share 1/2 of each because you know.... we are very indecisive people.

We had....

California
Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber, Avocado Mayo with Lime, Chives

Seven Samurai
Japanese Mayo, White Cabbage, Cucumber, Pickled Ginger, Spring Onions, Togarashi Spice

AND

Sweet Potato Fries & Smoke Paprika Salt

I was stuffed afterwards and omg I cannot tell you how impressed I was.

THEIR LOBSTER ROLLS AND SO DAMN GOOD!

We talked for ages and finished 6 packs of mayo and ketchup.....

One strange thing was that the lady surving us had never had lobster before. Surely, she's not qualified to work there, right?

Share your experiences of lobster rolls and your favourite places to eat in London. I always love to try something new!

Khiels Dark Spot Solution

If you have been reading my blog then you would know that dark spots are something I've had trouble with for a long time. Even thought things are hopefully heading in a positive direction, I'm still doing my best to find products that  could speed up the lightening process.

Looking online I found there were many good reviews for Khiel's Dark Solution £36.00; even with the the pricy tag attached I decided that I wanted to give it a go.

The solution is clear and light. I apply this morning and evening after cleansing my face with my La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Cleansing Gel and after applying their Clarifying Lotion and before my face cream.

Since using this products I feel that my dark spots have lightened but the results are not as dramatic as people claim for it to be. I think testing and trying for different products has also made me realise that the deal with dark spots is that they just take TIME TO FADE.

Yep, so treatments might help but it will still be a wait depending on the darkness of your pigmentations.

How have you been dealing with with dark areas? Home treatments or products? Let me know below so I can also try them out!

Bootea - 14 Day Cleanse Review

I am guessing many of you have heard of the Bootea Teatox and are wondering if it actually helps you too lose weight before you go and spend your cash.

When I was researching this I stumbled across a variety of opinions. Some people said that they saw no change what's so ever, some said that they definitely lost weight whilst others saw other benefits such as energy and clear skin. So what did I see when during and after the Teatox? One things you should keep in mind is that changes in your body may not directly be an outcome of the Teatox.

During:
  • The morning after the night time tea I definitely felt that my stomach was cleared out in the bathroom...
  • I felt lighter and less bloated
  • I felt more energy and more positive towards my body changing
After:
  • I did not appear to have lost very much lower belly fat
  • There was no obvious FAT loss
  • Did loose some weight (due to excretion etc.)
  • Felt I had better digestion
Do I recommend Bootea for fat loss?

The answer unfortunately is no. Bootea can help with weight loss, help you debloat and be an amazing side help for my fitness and weight goals as you 'appear to loose weight' which may keep you motivated to get to the body you want. Also, it's definitely not a quick fix for the summer and won't work if you over eat during your day. However, it might be a good option if your already quite fit but have been on holiday and have been eating a decent amount of junk food ( or foreign cultured foods if you don't want to guilt yourself) that you usually wouldn't eat as it will help you get back on track.

Have you tried any other Detox Teas/ Cleanses that have led to better results? If so I would love to know for next time I go and binge out on holiday. I heard something about banana island....anybody tried that?
