Bootea - 14 Day Cleanse Review

I am guessing many of you have heard of the Bootea Teatox and are wondering if it actually helps you too lose weight before you go and spend your cash.

When I was researching this I stumbled across a variety of opinions. Some people said that they saw no change what's so ever, some said that they definitely lost weight whilst others saw other benefits such as energy and clear skin. So what did I see when during and after the Teatox? One things you should keep in mind is that changes in your body may not directly be an outcome of the Teatox.

During:
  • The morning after the night time tea I definitely felt that my stomach was cleared out in the bathroom...
  • I felt lighter and less bloated
  • I felt more energy and more positive towards my body changing
After:
  • I did not appear to have lost very much lower belly fat
  • There was no obvious FAT loss
  • Did loose some weight (due to excretion etc.)
  • Felt I had better digestion
Do I recommend Bootea for fat loss?

The answer unfortunately is no. Bootea can help with weight loss, help you debloat and be an amazing side help for my fitness and weight goals as you 'appear to loose weight' which may keep you motivated to get to the body you want. Also, it's definitely not a quick fix for the summer and won't work if you over eat during your day. However, it might be a good option if your already quite fit but have been on holiday and have been eating a decent amount of junk food ( or foreign cultured foods if you don't want to guilt yourself) that you usually wouldn't eat as it will help you get back on track.

Have you tried any other Detox Teas/ Cleanses that have led to better results? If so I would love to know for next time I go and binge out on holiday. I heard something about banana island....anybody tried that?

Is All This Cake Really Going to Make Me Feel Better?

Cake.

It is becoming a common interest to me for some reason.

I really don't understand how I believe cake, burgers, chips, Nutella, crepes, salted caramel, brownie and well.....junk, is going to help me conquer anything at all.

In fact, instead of comforting me, I think all this is stressing me out even more.

This over load of calories makes me feeling like I haven't achieved my fitness goals in the slightest because I have simply sabotaged my self time and time again.

I would direct this issue primarily towards the need to feel happy.
I usually associate 'good memories' or exciting times around particular 'meal' (which probably was unhealthy) but tasted really good. Now, every time I feel a little down, I do back to these 'guilty pleasure' foods in hope it will help me feel better.

It usually works unless I keep doing it (every other night or so) during the week. This is because I also exercise and this completely counteracts all the will power I put into my work out.

Now, yes all this is a mental issue and something that has been striking my attention again and again just over the past few weeks. Yes, it is perfectly acceptable to indulge once in a while but I really isn't alright to draw attention to food for comfort and happiness because that is simply not how the world works.

I hope you all have been hearing about how the NHS are planning to inject more money into mental health  issues and I am very passionate that every single person in the world will one day have access to advice help and understanding from other people around them and professionally because it affects so many people all around the world.

If fact either yourself or a very close family member/ friend will at least once in their life be affected by a mental issue, be mild or serious. I want to be able to be honest on my blog and encourage others to raise awareness, share stories and be able to share advice because we are all in this together.

I also was encouraged by Jack's Gap Video on this issue of not being afraid and being able to express our worries and concerns regarding mental issues.

I hope this is encouragement for everybody reading this.

Thank you.

Tips to Help Reduce Your Cold Symptoms

It's that time of the year again, autumn leaves falling, darker mornings, shorter days, thicker jumpers and of course, colds.

Everyone seems to be coughing, sneezing and complaining that they have a cold and I am someone who has been constantly shivering unless I wear 2 vests, a thermal top, a regular top and a thick jumper outside but have found some of these things useful in helping reduce my cold/flu-like symptoms.

1. Drink Hot Herbal Tea
I found that sipping on hot cups of ginger and lemon tea (Twinning's Settling Ginger and Revitalising Lemon & Ginger are two of my favourites) really helps my throat feel less sore and dry; it also helps making me feel a little more warm and cosy which is always really comforting.

2. Stay Hydrated
I know this may be one point you rather skip out off the list, but when you're ill having plenty of water for your body to take care of itself is definitely the wiser option. During the day, drinking water should help increase your energy levels too.

3. Take Multi Vitamins

Vitamins, vitamins, vitamins. Don't forget your vitamins. I regularly take multivitamins all year round and swap between Floradix Liquid Iron and Vitamin Formula and Metatone Tonic as well as Vitamin D and Iron tablets (since my GP has recommended this to me).  Especially when I feel like any sympotoms of a cold is arising or simply feel fatigue, I will take Vitamin C tablets to help my immune system keep up with everything that's going on.

4. Get Enough Sleep
Tired all the time? Go to bed a little earlier because you owe yourself that much. After all, its probably not your fault you were infected by the coughing bus passenger next to you, right? A little more snooze ain't gonna hurt no body.

5. Eat Oranges
Now orange juice doesn't classify as fresh oranges, there is something very different about the two things I would have thought. Eating oranges and other citus fruits, berries and fresh vegetables also helps your body repair itself quicker and more easily due to the higher amounts of antioxidants your body receives.

6. Strepsils, Tissues and Paracetamol
My mother never let me leave the house without all of these things. Always keeping paracetamol handy means that you should be able to battle the day to the end like a hero...

Hopefully this has reminded you that nourishing your body with all that it deserves will help you feel energized much more faster than if you binged on junk foods and walked around the roads with a light shirt on!
